The Criteria
Products certified as SweetShield must fit into one of the mentioned certification classes. Give a thorough read to identify which category your products falls under.

Certified Sugar Free

This product contains a maximum of 0.5 g of total sugar per 100ml for a drink or

0.5 g of total sugar per 100g for a food product.

Certified No Added Sugar
-
This product contains no added sugars, or any food used for its sweetening properties (excluding polyols).

If the product contains more than 0.5g of sugar per 100g or 100ml then the following statement must be made: “contains naturally occurring sugars.”

Certified Low Sugar

This product contains a maximum of 2.5g of overall sugars per 100ml (for a drink) or

5g of overall sugars per 100g (for a food product).

Certified Artificial Sweetener Free/NSS Free

This product contains No Artificial Sweetener such as Caloric- Sorbitol, Sorbitol syrup, Mannitol, Isomalt, Polyglycitol syrup, Maltitol, Maltitol syrup, Lactitol and Xylitol and Non-Caloric- Erythritol, Steviol glycoside, Thaumatin, Aspartame, Sucralose, Neotame, Acesulfame potassium, Aspartame, Saccharins, advantame.
